Marcellus W. Lidikay, 97, Wellsville area resident most of his life, died today at 2:30 a.m. in Crestview Nursing Home where he lived for the past 18 months. He would have been 98 on Aug 27. He was born in Indiana on Aug 27, 1862 and came to Wellsville in 1882. In 1888, he married Lizzie Chambers who died in 1907. Except for two years he farmed continuously on the same farm until moving to Wellsville in 1943. He was a member of the Methodist Church and former member of IOOF. Survivors are two sons, Harry E. Lidikay, Ottawa; and Ralph Y. Lidikay, Wellsville; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Love, Denver and Mrs. Lena Bloss, Wellsville; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the Coughlin Chapel in Wellsville Monday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Wellsville Cemetery, Rev. James Nalors will officiate. -kz
